. This is an excerpt from an original ghost story set in the coal country outside of Pittsburgh. Did you know that the Winter of 1898 really was the hardest one on record? They found ice in the Gulf of Mexico that had floated all the way down the Mississippi River.

. Did you know that there were more stories told about Charlemagne and his knights in medieval times than there were about King Arthur, and that they were much more popular too? I've made something of a hobby of digging out and refreshing these stories. I even have a book out telling one of the longer tales. This is my version of the classic knight-and-giant encounter.
